"You have your whole lives ahead of you."
Hello. Today, we had an hour long assembly where an ex-convict came in and talked to us about life and decisions. He had been in prison for fifteen years, mainly for gang stuff and stealing. He was homeless since 14 (a rumour started that he was homeless because he chased his mother round the garden with a knife) and had to steal food to live. After that, he slipped into crime. He told us his life story which was more interesting than I expected. One thing he said that really stuck with me was: "I'd do anything to swap places with you now. You have your whole lives ahead of you." I don't know what my life is going to be. I'm choosing my options for GCSE this year, we were given the first form this morning. They gave us the list of all the subjects and we had to chose four and rate those four with our preference I put- 1. Drama 2. Triple Science 3. Media Studies 4.
