Well, anyway, this is a blog.

As of March 2017, I have been recounting usually mundane events in my life and attempting to make them sound more interesting with my *sparkling* wit and above average ability to describe things. If you enjoy self deprecating humour, over-analysed situations and the occasional serious post then stick around. If not, give it a chance.

Trogslight Stuff and THE CLIFF INCIDENT

Hello, two posts in a day. Productivity! (Or just me wanting to do anything but revision...) Today I walked into Trogslight with Lithium. Oh yeah, Trogslight is an alias for where I live, sorry that it doesn't fit to the periodic table theme... for a second, I considered "Periodville" before realising what a terrible idea it was. So, Trogslight it is. We went into a graveyard to look around and took some pictures... These were just a few. I used to go into graveyards all the time with my mum, we'd try to find funny names on the headstones. My favourite was "Silas Hake"- probably because it sounded like a vampire name, like Silas from "The Graveyard Book" (Neil Gaiman, read his stuff I'm addicted to it yet traumatised- I watched Coraline when I was six and read the book when I was nine. Who am I?

I will go out to the bay and I will sit. I will sit on the cold, salty ground and look out at the rolling sea of an indescribable colour. And I will look out until I can look no further. My eyes soon meet with distant shadows of land so I stop. I can hear their voices but they don't notice me. Hair and eyes blend into seaweed. Skin becomes sand. A grey skirt fades into the wall and my breath is carried away by a hollow wind. Ten years from now, wherever I end up, I don't want to forget who I am now. These words won't mean a lot to other people but, for me, they sum up who I am at the moment.  She is one of the first to arrive at school and when she does it is empty so she notices things that seem to disappear as soon as the next person arrives. There is a lot of glass in her school- the glass is dark and reflective. Sometimes she likes the way her reflection looks in the glass. But that makes her feel vain. Oh, so you decide to grace us with your presence after a month of not posting...

Hello. I have not posted for one month and one day. I have accepted that I must have lost what small audience I had.  There are several reasons (excuses) as to why I haven't posted.  Firstly, my computer broke. Secondly, it was Christmas and I was (kind of? ish?) busy. By busy, I don't mean doing anything productive. I mean sleeping and reading and attempting to spend time with family.  Also, between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve, I felt like shit. I knew I shouldn't be feeling like shit because I'd been given presents and had a good time but I couldn't help feeling that I didn't deserve any of it. On the night of Christmas day, I stayed awake until 3am staring at the ceiling of my cousin's bedroom and thinking about death. This doesn't make me deep or special.  I kept drafting post ideas i.e. 10 Reasons why I hate Christmas or My New Year Resolutions but the writing was extremely forced and not very good.
