Lukewarm Puddle Water

Hello. So I know I promised to post ages ago and I still haven't done it but exams (for core subjects) are over now so I've just been writing, ukuleleing and doing internet shit. There are lots of things I could write about but I'm too lazy to remember the more significant events in the past so I am going to state what has happened recently.

Had school today. Pretty boring- Uranium wasn't there first or second period so I ended up talking to Mercury and found out that he also thinks fidget spinners are cringey as hell (that wasn't the word we used but I'm trying to filter the f word out of my vocabulary) He had a deck of cards in his pocket so we played rummy which was fun. I won the first game, I think. We managed two games before the teacher caught us and told us to stop wasting time. The lesson ended and I saw Uranium in the corridors. She'd got her braces off! She looked good but not having them made her look younger, to me anyway probably because it takes me back to the time when I first met her and she didn't have them on.

It was an average day, like most school days. It rained during lunch so we (me, Uranium and Plutonium) sat in the canteen rather than the wall, where we usually would be. I bought a cheese roll and some biscuits. Well, not the biscuits as I didn't have enough. The roll had come straight from the fridge which made the cheese taste nothingy. We sat down at an empty table and talked about stuff. Plutonium's parrot has come back.

I zoned out and, through the sea of faces, saw Nitrogen.

Ohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshitohshit

My mind screamed. I don't know why I got so nervous.

We had PE after that. I got overly competitive. Uranium and Plutonium got annoyed. Our team won though.

After school I went to the "youth cafe" down the road. I walked in, sat down and started reading a boring book about a woman with large breasts and an annoying boyfriend where the plot took too long to develop. An overly friendly guy that works there came over to me and offered me tea which I was too polite/awkward to decline. He came back with the it a few minutes later and it was brown-grey like puddle water. It came with two sugar packets but I only put one in and didn't stir it. At first it was hot and bitter puddle water but towards the end it was lukewarm, sweet puddle water as the sugar sank to the bottom.

The rain continued.
